Steve Harvey has returned to reality TV but as a judge on his newest show, Judge Steve Harvey. It led to some out of the ordinary verdicts.
Steve Harvey, known for Family Feud and his talk show, is actually now a reality TV judge and it's as wild as you might expect. Judge Steve Harvey is his entry into the television world of small claims court.
Harvey admits he isn’t a real judge, just a talk show personality who tries to use common sense to help people solve their problems. That makes it so his verdicts are unusual and that actually makes them more memorable than ones from real judges.

Harvey orders Hoopes to pay Bell $738.88. He also takes his own money and gives Bell $5000 so she can take a legitimate VIP trip with her friends. This case raises awareness of how a lack of communication can screw someone over. Hoopes and the other trip organizers set up an elaborate plan and it backfired, leading to chaos and this appearance on Judge Steve Harvey.
This married couple was suing each other for $5000. Devin‘s wife won’t come to bed with him on time, while Cherechi claims she’s lost time and money because of her husband’s restrictive schedule. Devin is a traditional man who likes to be in charge while Cherechi is a stay-at-home mom with a creative spirit.
Harvey doesn’t award either of them their desired amount of money. He instead gives his verdict in the form of great advice and $3000 so the couple can go on date nights. He shares that compromise is the key to a happy relationship. Devin and Cherechi love each other but as Harvey points out, they need to find a healthy middle ground.
Kevin Tribble was suing his son for $4800 in back rent and a signed rental contract. When his son returned home from college, he was very messy, so if Junior was to stay at home, Kevin Tribble made him sign a rental agreement and pay him back rent. Junior claimed he’s not as bad as his Dad said and didn't believe he should have to pay anything.
Harvey, host of a long-running game show, sides with the father, awarding him the $4800, the signed rental contract, and an extra $4000 that Junior needs to pay back his dad. Audiences may have had mixed reactions to this verdict but Harvey brought his own experience with his father and his sons into this case and decided to teach all young adults a lesson.

Harvey awards Funlola $1000, and he gives the siblings $1000 to use for future game nights. He uses this game to determine his verdict, giving them both something to walk away with.
Jones was suing Romca for $4800 for breaking his promise to marry her and the cost of a party she wants to throw with everyone who was supposed to be involved in the wedding. Romca was countersuing for $2300 for a lost engagement ring and the cost of a metal detector. Romca no longer wants to get married, seemingly because of superstitions.
Steve awards Jones $10,000 for the party. He sympathizes with her pain as she deserves a better outcome with this relationship. David comes off as having something to hide. They have kids, they’re still together, and yet, this is how he stands. $10,000 is a large sum of money but Harvey—and audiences—may find it reasonable considering the heartbreak she’s endured.

He previously tried to uphold the bet but threw up after eating two of the fish. Harvey understands both sides of the debate and challenges Andrew to eat one herring to finish the bet and Jack to eat three.
The boys complete the challenge and Harvey awards them each $2000. There is something strange about these two scarfing down herring on live television when the bet was so silly to begin with. Harvey expresses his belief that they are honorable men and he especially relates to Andrew who has a smart communication style that allows others to sympathize with him.

Harvey awards Brian $3400, but he agrees to pay it himself. He also gives Carolina $5000 because he understands the position she is in.
